Belgian skateboarding nostalgia
Back then, cameras were slower. There was no social media yet, and no instant uploads. Every photo required timing, patience and luck. Storage was limited, mistakes were permanent, and only a few moments made it through.

Skatespots.be has been online for 22 years now. These images are part of that story. They show tricks, styles, crews and sessions that helped shape the Belgian skate scene long before skateboarding became digital content.

This post is a about nostalgia, but even more about acknowledging where the platform comes from and what kept it alive for more than two decades: skateboarding, documented by skaters, for skaters.
